PENZANCE TURK'S HEAD SESSION

Welcome to the Singing-Cellar! We are an Acoustic Music Club based in the small but beautifully atmospheric Cellar room of the TURK'S HEAD, Chapel Street, PENZANCE, reputedly the oldest pub in the town. As its name suggests, The main focus genre of the club is Folk music, but we actively welcome acoustic music of all genres, whether this be Blues, Jazz, Country, traditional or contemporary songs sung a-capella or accompanied, tunes on any kind of instrument you'd like to bring along, or even a piece of poetry or a cracking yarn! We run on the FOURTH Friday of each month from 8pm although, as the room only accommodates 25 people, it's advisable to get here quite early. The club is warm and friendly with a great atmosphere and superb acoustics, and welcomes singers, musicians, storytellers, poets, local supporters and visitors to come along and enjoy, or even contribute to what we have to offer.
